讲座主题：Milestone Ages, Social Pressure, and Risk-Taking in Stock Markets
讲座内容简介：
We study how social pressures experienced by individuals approaching milestone ages (e.g., age 30, 40, and 50) affect their risk-taking behavior in stock markets. Using account-level data, we find that individual investors exhibit increased risk-seeking tendencies when approaching their milestone age birthdays. This effect is particularly pronounced for individuals with less financial wealth and investment experience, males, and those from regions with stronger Confucian clan culture, consistent with our social pressure interpretation. More importantly, trades executed by individuals approaching milestone birthdays tend to underperform, underscoring a negative impact of social pressure on financial well-being.
嘉宾简介：
罗妍，毕业于香港大学，获金融学博士学位。现任复旦大学管理学院金融与财务学系教授、博士生导师，国家级青年人才项目获得者。研究领域包括投资者行为、家庭金融、公司财务、绿色金融、金融科技，在国际权威期刊发表多篇论文，包括Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance等。研究成果入选金融学国际顶级会议WFA、EFA以及国际政策制定部门会议，包括亚洲金融经济研究局会议(ABFER)、美国经济研究署中国组会议(NBER-China Meeting)等。主持国家自然科学基金项目、上海市晨光计划、上海市浦江人才计划等十多项纵向及横向课题。担任SSCI一区期刊Research in International Business and Finance副主编、亚开行外部顾问、香港研究资助局(RGC)研究基金通讯评审，以及多家上市公司独立董事。
