ASEAN’s transition towards net-zero emissions requires coordinated strategies to address growing energy demand while ensuring affordability and sustainability. This presentation explores decarbonisation pathways for ASEAN’s energy sector through 2050, drawing on energy system optimisation analyses. It examines the roles of renewable energy, cross-border electricity transmission, energy storage, carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen in achieving net-zero targets. Special attention is given to the economic and operational benefits of regional power grid integration. The findings highlight technological trade-offs, infrastructure investment needs, and the importance of regional cooperation in accelerating ASEAN’s energy transition.
报告嘉宾简介：
苏斌(Su Bin)是新加坡国立大学能源研究所资深研究员，能源与环境研究中心主任，能源系统建模团队负责人，同时担任新加坡节能和低碳路径发展研究项目负责人。主要研究领域为能源和环境经济与政策、能源与气候变化、能源环境系统建模和分析，在能源和环境相关的国际期刊上已发表SCI/SSCI论文200多篇，入选科睿唯安“全球高被引科学家” ，斯坦福大学团队发布的“全球前2%顶尖科学家”(能源领域)，全球经济学研究数据库RePEC/IDEAS发布的全球前1%经济学家和Research.Com网站发布的“全球前1%科学家”(经济与金融领域)。现任Energy Policy (SSCI&SCI)期刊联合主编，Energy Economics (SSCI)期刊副主编，多个国际期刊的客座主编、副主编和编委，在新加坡主持和参与三十多项能源环境相关的研究项目。
